Pierre-Alexandre Jean and Ulysse De Pauw will continue their partnership in this season's Sprint Cup after sealing a switch to crack Ferrari squad AF Corse.
Last year the duo shared a CMR-run Bentley in the short-format championship, scoring an impressive overall podium by taking third at Zandvoort. The Dutch track has been a happy hunting ground for Jean, who finished second overall in 2020 alongside former teammate Hugo Chevalier.
In 2022 they will continue their collaboration at a new team, joining AF Corse for the Sprint Cup in what will be the Italian outfit's first attempt on the Silver class. Both drivers were present at this week's official test days where they put the unliveried #21 Ferrari through its paces. Speaking to Endurance-info, Jean explained that his manager, veteran GT racer Stéphane Lémeret, first presented him to the team.
Jean enters his third full season of GT3 competition having made the step up with CMR in 2020. De Pauw, meanwhile, will tackle his second campaign after debuting last term. In addition to their Sprint Cup programme, both drivers were part of CMR's TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa programme in 2021.
The Sprint Cup season begins at Brands Hatch on 30 April/1 March. From there it moves to Magny-Cours (13-15 May), Zandvoort (17-19 June) and Misano (1-3 July) before concluding at Valencia on 16-18 September.
